Hundreds of fishermen hostage Ships Nickel Mining Company

Angered by the pond and garden area damaged sea grass contaminated mine waste, hundreds of fishing communities who live on the coast Hakatutobu Village, District Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, desperate hostage a ship tug boat (barge) owned PT Wijaya Nickel Nusantara.
By using motor boats and canoes, hundreds of fishermen come to the center of this mining operation of PT Wijaya Nickel archipelago of Cape Leppe, Kolaka District.
Arriving at the place, hundreds of fishermen are directly holding a vessel tug boats (barges) owned mining company that was preparing to perform the loading of ore (soil containing nickel ore).
In his speech, protesters said the nickel mining activities conducted by PT Wijaya Nickel Nusantara has harmed citizens. Therefore, the red mud generated in the nickel mining activities polluting the area of cage fish farming, seaweed farms and gardens belong to fishermen community.
Of the more than 100 hectares of fish cage culture, seaweed farms and property of citizens, almost entirely destroyed and crop failure. As a result, people lose up to hundreds of millions of dollars.
The atmosphere was heated up when a mother screaming hysterically condemned the activities of nickel mining company PT Wijaya Nickel Nusantara.
Not to be outdone, the PT Wijaya Nickel Nusantara actually challenging people to prove that the contamination area of seaweed farms and gardens citizens caused by their mining nickel. After saying that, the representative of this company almost got beat a citizen of angry fishermen.
Hundreds of fishermen are demanding the company provide redress and compensation to them for losses incurred due to nickel mining PT.Wijaya Nickel Nusantara damaging pond and garden area residents seaweed.
Tensions eased when several police officers went to the site and soothe the fishermen. The company, represented by Operations Manager, Johar, promised to replace the loss of fishermen from their mining activities
