Hundreds of traders and civil service Police Unit was involved clashed this afternoon in front of Central Market Kota Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. Government action is triggered clashes Kendari, which would displace the traders and the market turn into malls and shopping areas.

The traders said it would do if the resistance remains forced eviction action. Had been a debate between traders and police civil service. The clashes broke out at the end both sides no one would budge.

Civil service ranks of the police attempted to approach the market building stone bombarded by the merchants. Not only that, some traders who are already emotionally desperate attack apparatus using wooden beams. There was even one of the traders who had unsheathed blade sharp weapons.

Strong resistance from the mass merchants, civil service police officers finally retreated.

The clash was triggered by government plans Kendari that intend to rehabilitate and transform the building into a market or shopping mall.

The problem arises because the land provided to relocate the merchants status as land disputes and the case was being tried in the Supreme Court. Landowners who have three times won the court until the Supreme Court, refused to land used as a market.

The traders concerned, if they were evicted and the new location occupies a land dispute, they would be in conflict with the citizens of the land owners. This is the reason for the refusal of traders evicted.
